The First Lady denounced that 12 children have died at the JM de los Ríos Hospital during the year 2021

The First Lady of Venezuela, Fabiana Rosales, warned of the serious situation that children are going through at the ‘JM de los Ríos’ Hospital (main public children’s hospital in the country), many of whom have died waiting for transplants and medicines to save their lives.

Mrs. Rosales de Guaidó reported that only during this year 2021, twelve children of the ‘JM de los Ríos’ Nephrology Service (Kidney Disease Dept.) have died and of those, three children have died in less than three days.

The First Lady remembered teenager Niurka Camacho, 15; Winder Rangel, 11; and Jeannys Herrera, just 9; whose lives died without being able to fulfill their dream of living a long and healthy life.

“The patients of the Nephrology Service of the ‘JM de los Ríos’ have been waiting for the reactivation of transplants for more than four years, they suffer from the shortage of supplies and equipment failures,” she assured.
